W4
W4 — Chiswick, Turnham Green and Strand-on-the-Green
Two roundabouts define this district and both of them break tyres. Hogarth Roundabout and Chiswick Roundabout carry traffic that is either accelerating away or queuing hard, the lane markings funnel cars against raised kerbs, and the debris that collects at the edges finds a sidewall sooner or later. Behind the main roads, Chiswick High Road, Bedford Park, Turnham Green and Strand-on-the-Green are conservation-area streets with narrow bays and expensive wheels, and Chiswick Business Park adds a car park full of vehicles nobody looks at between nine and six.

Getting to you
If the car is on or near either roundabout, the safe answer is usually to move it off before we touch a wheel, and we would rather recover it a short distance than work in a live lane. Chiswick High Road has loading restrictions through the middle of the day. At Chiswick Business Park the building number is more use to us than the street, and at Chiswick Park and Gunnersbury the station roads are tight in both directions.
