On-location tyres
Run-flat tyres fitted in Richmond, not limped for miles
Run-flats are sold as ‘keep going’. After a few miles on the support they are often scrap, and the sensor starts shouting. We bring the right run-flat or a sensible alternative if your car will accept it, and we do the job where you stopped — a Chiswick side street is fine.
What that means in practice
- Experience with cars that were never given a spare wheel
- Pressure sensors treated as part of the job, not an afterthought
- Honest talk if you have already driven too far on the support
- If a conventional tyre is legal and you prefer it, we discuss that first
Questions we get
Can I swap run-flats for ordinary tyres?
Some cars allow it, some are a headache with the electronics and the ride. We will not do it as a silent default. Ask when you call.
I already drove five miles on the warning. Is it finished?
Often yes. The inner support cooks the tyre. We look, then we tell you whether a repair was ever on the table (usually it is not after a run-flat event).
