W8
W8 — Kensington, Kensington High Street and the palace
W8 is small, expensive and difficult to stop in, and those three facts are related. Kensington High Street is a red-route style corridor with buses and loading bans that leave very little usable kerb, while the streets behind it are garden squares, communal bays and mews entrances that were built for carriages. Most of the work here involves large-diameter wheels with thin sidewalls, which fail at the first serious kerb strike and rarely give any warning first.

Getting to you
Around Kensington Palace and the high street there are stretches where a working vehicle cannot legally stand, so we will ask for the nearest side street and walk the equipment in. If the car is in a communal or underground bay, the height limit and the entrance name matter; several of the blocks here will not take a van at all.
