Hounslow works as a proper town rather than a suburb of one, and the tyre work reflects that. Hounslow High Street and the Treaty Centre draw traffic all day, the multi-storey fills and empties twice over, and the calls come from car parks more often than from kerbs. Lampton and the streets north of the centre are residential and older, with the kind of camber that takes an inside edge off a tyre gradually and without warning.

In the Treaty Centre car park we need the level and the bay number, because the height restrictions decide what we can bring in and what we do at the entrance instead. The pedestrianised stretch of Hounslow High Street has timed access for vehicles. Around Hounslow Central the side streets are permit-controlled and narrow enough that a van blocks them.
