W11
W11 — Notting Hill, Holland Park and Portobello Road
Portobello Road runs on a market calendar, and the traffic around it does too. On market days the streets either side are effectively closed to anything wider than a bicycle, and a car parked in the middle of that with a flat tyre stays there until the stalls come down. Holland Park, Notting Dale and the roads by Notting Hill Gate are quieter but not easier: garden squares, communal bays, narrow mews entrances, and wheels that a kerb ruins in one clumsy turn.

Getting to you
Say whether it is a market day and which end of Portobello Road you are nearest, because that alone changes the approach entirely. Mews properties are the other thing worth flagging early — some entrances will not take a working van at all, and we will fit at the mouth of the mews rather than inside it.
