TW8
TW8 — Brentford, the Golden Mile and Kew Bridge
The Great West Road is why TW8 is different from the districts either side of it. The Golden Mile carries fast, heavy, constant traffic past a row of offices, and a tyre that lets go there is a genuine hazard rather than an inconvenience — the hard shoulder is short, the exits are far apart, and there is nowhere sensible to stand. Off the main road, Brentford High Street, Brentford Lock and the newer blocks around them are the opposite: tight, over-parked, and full of underground car parks with a height limit.

Getting to you
If you are on the Great West Road, get the car as far left as it will go, get everyone out on the nearside, and tell us the direction of travel — that decides how we approach. Around Gtech Community Stadium the streets are controlled on match days. Boston Manor and Syon Park are easier ground, though the lanes near the park are narrow.
