KT1
KT1 — Kingston upon Thames, Hampton Wick and the bridge
Kingston Bridge is the pinch point for this whole district, and everything else arranges itself around it. Traffic queues on the approach from Hampton Wick, the one-way system through the town centre gives a driver very few chances to correct a mistake, and the multi-storey serving the Bentall Centre fills early and empties late. Add Kingston University and the Rose Theatre Kingston and you have a district where cars stand still for hours in structures with height barriers, which is where a good proportion of our calls here begin.

Getting to you
In a car park we need the level and the bay, because the barrier heights decide whether we come to the car or work at the entrance. Kingston Market Place and the streets around it have timed vehicle access and pedestrianised stretches. If you are on the bridge approach itself, we would rather move the car clear before doing anything to a wheel.

Tell us the vehicle, the tyre size if you can see it, and exactly where the car is standing. We will say what we can do before anyone sets off.
